Appello helps people to drive more safely with new services in the Wisepilot GPS navigator

“We want to focus on our customers’ safety and have developed functions that make it easier for users to place the car correctly and be aware of what is happening further ahead,” says Peter Tyreholt, Director Product Management at Appello.

Wisepilot will guide the user to the correct lane in order to reach the destination. It also shows the current speed limit and alerts the driver if speeding. Furthermore, up-to-date traffic information will assist the driver to avoid queues or other incidents.

You will also be able to share your route with others, who can follow your progress along the shared route in real-time, via sms, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.

“The price will vary depending on the country in which you live or which operator you use. Wisepilot gives you the freedom to pay when you use the service or to buy unlimited use,” says Peter Tyreholt.

Wisepilot has widespread distribution in Europe, Africa and the Middle East via mobile operators, handset manufacturers and applications stores such as Apple App Store, BlackBerry App World and Android Market, as well as via Wisepilot’s website, The new version is already on the market and has been submitted for approval on application stores.
